exhausted!!! was created by robdtoo
hey, new around here and could use some help! bought a "used" v&h header for my 82" kz 750. header was kinda banged up a lil rough but a lil sand and paint goes a long way.so my dilema is... installed the header fit fine accept the stock spacers that go in front of the flange are to short to push the header to the block. tried fab-ing some outta spare parts but still had god awful leaks any ideas are appreciated.
thanx, "newb"

The stock exhaust pipes have flanges welded to the header tips & use short half-moon exhaust collars. I'm guessing the replacement system has the flared header tips, so you'll need longer collars. You should be able to use those from a 70s KZ650, 1980 KZ650 & a few other models such as the KZ550s (Kawasaki.com has a cross-reference).
