Any suggestions on how to unplug the drain ports. I have tried a small dental pick and a 1/16" drill without success. I thought about just drilling a small 1/16" hole but decided I'd check the collective wsidom here first. Thanks for any suggestions.

I've used a drill bit between my fingers, but my drain ports weren't plugged up solid. You might try a tiny Philips screwdriver if you have one. Ed

Many of the original Z1 enhausts had a manufacturing problem where the head pipe extended too far into the muffler and blocked the drain hole. Kawasaki issued a maintenance release on this to drill another hole further back...

With genuine exhausts, it's worth removing them from the bike over the winter months and hanging them up to drain.

You also need to avoid short trips that build condensation in the pipes. Realistically a ride of 30-50 miles is needed to remove any built up condensation in the pipes.
