Still gotta degrease and tape it. And thats a pain, especially with the valves and stuff instaleld.

You guys still use paint on your engines?

Look into some stuff called gun kote.
The US Mil. uses it on air cooled 50's and mini guns.
This stuff gets into the pores of the metal, Not on top of it.

You have to media blast the parts before you spray it on.
And then cure it in an oven,,,,,,,
NOT THE ONE YOU USE FOR YOUR FOOD !!!!!!!!!!!
AND NOT INSIDE YOUR HOUSE !!!!!!!!!!!

And now you can get it in colors !
Not just black.

No kidding, I've have this stuff on my Z1 for over 20 years and 50.000 miles and it looks almost as good as the day I put it on.

Yeah a member here, RayNor, used it extensively on his project. I didn't have the facilities for a bake on paint.
