HELLO RIDERS I OWN A KZ1000 Z1R AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO HELP ME OUT WITH MY DECISION PLEASE.
MY BIKE HAS ONLY 8000 KILOMETERS (JAP VERSION)DO I REALLY! REALLY! NEED THE OILCOOLER I LIVE IN CANCUN MEXICO.THE WEATHER IS LIKE IN MIAMI SHOULD I? OR NOT. AND IF I DO WICH ONE IS THE BEST FOR IT THANKS 4 YOUR HELP

You don't really need it, but is better to have because it keeps the oil temp in check, if bike is ridden hard. It will contribuite to engine longevity. The oil cooler itself is not much of a problem, but it is how to connect it to the oil circuit.

I have a 750 that came from factory with the oil cooler lines in the oil pan, but am not sure on the 900/1000/1100 motors. Am sure you'll have plenty of suggestions from owners.

I had my Z1R in Hawaii for 3 years and never had a need for it. Only after I bored it out to 1105cc did it start getting hot. Even than the oil cooler was not necessary. Run a good motorcycle oil or a good Diesel truck oil, like Shell Rotella-T and you will not have any problems, especially if it is stock.
