ok my question is what makes a z1 a z1. I have some cams froma 76 z1 and want to sell them but I dont know if they're better than a stock kz. Anybody know?

Pretty sure they're the same as the KZ cams...

I'll second that they're probably exactly the same. Z1's ran from 73-75, the KZ's started in '76 as the kz900. the biggest differences were in carb size, exhaust and some smaller engine details.

Whether or not a cam is better, depends on what you want out of it. If you're racing, change it, if you're enjoying a restoration, leave it as stock. You might find you'll get more out of degreeing the cams as opposed to spending money on new cams.
