Hi, you probably been asked this many times and probably thinking not again, I have a kz650 chop that has an engine that is very smokey so im going to swap the engine for a 750 twin.
I did a search and found some useful info, I know the twin is taller but this wont be a problem as its going in a chop.
The question i have is, are the engine mounts in the same place or will i have to move them to get it bolted in.
im hoping it will bolt straight in. Thanks. Shane

I bet they're different, but I could be wrong. I inadvertently bought some 750-Twin engine guards for my KZ650, but they wouldn't fit. I don't know if engine guard fitment is a good enough indicator of whether or not the 750 engine will fit into the 650 frame.

I can pretty much guarantee the 750 twin engine will not fit into a 650 frame without a giant hammer and a bucket of money.

I think the 750 twin would be a step backwards performance wise as well. Would make a cool retro chopper, but even the 650 makes a lot more power and is more reliable to boot. Go for the 750 that mart13 is offering, more displacement than the 650 and better reliability than the twin, just my .02, 2006hhr
