Guys,

My KZ900 (1060) motor has a vance hines exhaust.
1. The exhaust has no baffle and is to loud to daily drive to work etc.....(all hours of the night waking up neihbors)

2. Brake pedal clearence problems

Please recomend an exhaust that will be quieter and not compromise the performance if anything please improve performance. A working rear brake would be a plus too.
If possible im working on the cheap as i am thinking of selling the bike.

MAC cannister pipe. Is fantastic. I removed the obnoxious Kerker Megaphone from my 76 KZ900 and installed a MAC. My performance increased in the mid range my gas mileage got better and it had a very nice crisp yet muffled sound. Follow this link to another KZR thread and it will tell you more.

Pic might be helpful.

Baffles are available for V/H street model, which usually don't interfere with brake pedal function.

V/H sidewinder model (drag racing) requires brake pedal modification, and is designed for application on bikes with raked (extended) front ends to clear the front wheel/fender. And might afford less right-hand cornering clearance.

Edit:
bj (hocbj23) says, NO clearance problems cornering or otherwise. Footpegs drag before pipe does.

Good Fortune! :)

Running a Vance and Hines Sidewinder on my KZ1000 CSr.Baffles are available-I have one on mine. All u need to do re brake pedal is take it off, heat it and straighten it out a bit so it will fit over urfoot peg rather than under it.Pretty simple.NO clearance problems cornering or otherwise.footpegs drag before pipe does. .bj
