Clutch rivet question was created by idkleine
I am trying to find information about replacing the rivets and damper rubbers on the clutch of my 81' KZ650CSR. I have seen a thread about it here before but now that I'm looking for it I can't find it. I have access to a machine shop for one more month so I'm hoping to do the rivets myself. I removed the rivets because I just had to know if the rubber was ok and they are actually pretty decent although I would like to replace the anyways if they are obtainable. I probably should have left it alone. Also wondering if there is some way to replace the rivets with something more serviceable such as bolts. Any pointers would be awesome. Thanks

Checked with APE today and they can't do anything for me. I can make the rivets I suppose but the dampers I don't know about. If I could find the right materiel to make them out of I could make a punch. Anyone got any ideas on this? Are there any other common internal engine parts made out of rubber on any engine? I can't think of any at the moment other than shaft seals and stuff.
