the 81-82 LTD and CSR bikes are designated K models and M models. They are both powered by the 998 cc motor and produce 92 hp stock. They have a 107 mm trail and a 4.6 final drive ratio and are more of a cruiser type bike. The 81-82 J model bike is the sportier of the 3. It also has a 998 cc engine, but produces 102 hp.It has a 99mm trail and a 4.9 final drive so should handle better and run faster (theoretically).I believe it gets its extra 10 hp from valve timing. The K and M bikes have pull back bars,a shorty front fender and a stepped set and the J bike has straight bars, a long front fender and a flat seat.Ive seen lots of LTDs and some CSRs but dont think Ive ever seen a J model except in pics.Other than tuning,I believe the motors are identical. Hope this helps.bj.
