SOS WITH LOCKHART OIL COLER

hello riders could somebody please tell me where do i buy a lockhart oil cooler for my 1978 kz1000 z1r i already google it and i cant find it, the only place it shows was on ebay but its in sweden:angry: need your help asap thanks

there are other options.satrab makes all sorts of oil coolers that will fit KZs. I am running one on my bike now.Also,u may be able to find one off an ELR bike.They also work as well.Good luck.BJ

Might also look at Lockhart oil coolers on ebay that aren't limited to a particular model.

For instance, this ebay listing shown here refers to Harley Sportster, but appears to be the same as I run on Z1 and KZ900. (See pics below.) This style Lockhart was popular, in black or chrome. And some owners also added a thermostat.

Am unaware of fitment limitations peculiar to Z1R due to its fairing or other parts.

If not already aware, replacement parts for the oem fitting under oil pressure switch at rear of motor under carbs must also be installed to allow connections for the oil lines to and from the cooler (on the large fours).

What Mr. Patton said.The oil cooler fitting for a GPZ1100 works just fine for my KZ,but may not work for other models.OldKawMan.com has a home-made cooler that may fit ur application as well.bj
