Side-located pilot air screw in on airbox side of carb
Bottom-located pilot mixture screw is on engine side of carb.
Have heard of but am unfamilar with a manual slide carb having both type pilot screws.
Good Fortune!

Here's an old post I found, but I know there was a recent one, just can't find it at the moment.

Here's a comparison between manual slide carbs.
Side-located pilot air screw in on airbox side of carb
Bottom-located pilot mixture screw is on engine side of carb.

Carb model with only bottom-located pilot mixture screw air screw has a pilot air jet "1" at entrance to pilot air passage.
Carb model with only side-located pilot air screw has no pilot air jet at "2" entrance to pilot air passage.
Wondering whether the rare carbs with both pilot screws have the pilot air jet "1" at entrance to pilot air passage, because no such jet appears on the diagram at kawasaki.com (posted earlier and again in following post).
Just guessing, but speculating that rare carb model with both side-located pilot air screw and bottom-located pilot mixture screw uses the pilot air screw function in place of the pilot air jet function.
Have seen scant tuning ideas about the rare carbs with both pilot screws. One suggested screwing the bottom located pilot mixture screw fully closed (removing it from the equation), and just using the side-located pilot air screw as if it was the only pilot screw. Another idea was to fine tune using both screws, but don't recall the sequence or method.
Perhaps detailed carb tuning information would be found in the FSM for the particular year and model on which such carbs appear.
Good Fortune!
