Exhaust Question..

So Ive fixed my carb problems but now I have an exhaust problem. When I give it throttle its fine, but when I release a white cloud of smoke comes out of the exhaust. Anyone have any clue why? How to fix this and should I be worried?

You are sucking in oil into the exhaust during deceleration. This is usually an indication of bad valve seals or piston rings.

Make sure the oil is fresh,not full af gas.Have somebody ride behind you to watch for it.Does it get worse or better as you ride,and the warmer the engine gets.Check the level and plugs after 125 miles of use.That would give you a good indicator which cylinders are bad.A really bad valve seal will foul out a plug,and the fuel will wash down the cylinder,and ruin the rings.Been there.

The simplest way to tell if it's the rings is to put your finger over the crank case breather and see if you have a large difference in crank case pressure or vacuum. On these bikes you should have virtually neater pressure OR vacuum. The crank case should be almost neutral.

Jeez, if it aint one thing its another. So if it smokes more as the bike heats up its a bad valve seal, and the rings should be replaced? Ok, I'll run her for a bit and we'll see how bad she keeps smoking. Thanks fellas.

Just dump that oil and put in a generic "dyno oil", 20W50.

Ride it good and hard.

Then check things.
