Just in case... there may be a pull-down compartment on the underside of the seat for the Owner's Manual.

Ahah! I just got this email from Z1 : I kind of lost track of this over the years. The 305s and the 400s and 440s for that matter didn’t use a valve cover gasket. They utilized a high temp, chemical/fuel resistant white silicone.

So, is this correct guys? He provided a nice link to the silicone, but I don't want to take the bike apart if it isn't right.

If that's what they say to use... I'd go with it! You can probably pick some up at the auto parts store...

Joking aside, a FSM is crucial if you decide to do any work on the bike, and the seller of the second manual is highly recommended.
