Gone to the Darkside! New MAC exhaust on my KZ650

Sold my older Jardine 4:1 pipe on the 'bay yesterday. Got $125 with BIN and then realized my Kerker that the seller did not want was still out in limbo and i couldn't find a decent system on the 'bay. Remembered seeing an ad on Craigslist for a KZ650 4:1 pipe in good shape for $150. Crossed my fingers and called. The seller still had the pipe, it had been on his bike when he bought it 3 years ago and was taken off and replaced with stock pipes. I bit, took a look and hook line sinker, bought it for $150. Pipe is a Chrome megaphone, looks absolutely brand new, other than a bit of discoloring of the headpipes. It is a bit LOUD especially compared to the other pipe . Quieter than the Kerker was but still makes a fine din. Looking foward to the morning commute. The Mac's look a lot better now than the old canister system i had on my CB750 SOHC. I may replace the steel baffle with the Kerker replacement baffle that is coming back with my old pipe. Will post pics later. 2006hhr

I love the MAC pipes. I personally like the canister pipe better than the Megaphone pipe because of the sound and better mid range performance, but MAC has a very well engineered pipe when it comes to performance.

Had the canister on my CB750, performed well but the black hi temp paint didn't last worth a hoot. Hope this is the last pipe i need.

I do agree about the black paint. It is substandard.
