Need a good mechanic was created by greek023
Jim here i'm new to the site. I own a 1982 kawasaki kz 1100 all original with 8k on the bike. It was my dads who was the original owner. Very clean but its running bad lately, seems to be surging and backfiring.
In the last two years I took it to a bike shop here in Syracuse NY and had the carbs cleaned,new rubber front and back and had the valves checked and one needed to be shimmed.
Not really happy with the service I recieved. I always had to take it back for missing screws or somthing, so I'm looking for a new mechanic. Anyone know a good mechanic in the Syracuse NY area?

maybe if i cant find anyone in the direct area. Do you have a shop? Are you familiar with the kz1100's?

Talk to Jeff Sunders At Z1 Enterprises He's in Marion which is about 2/3 of the way between you and Rochester. He is a member here. "Jeff.Sunders" looks like about 50-60Mi from you

But Jeff has a KZ900 Turbo and would be able to refer someone to you.

Thanks everyone for the input. I think I found the guy! Somewhat of a drive, but I think it will be worth it in the end.
