Parts needed after splitting the cases? was created by retterath
I'm about to split the cases on my '80 kz750e, and want to have all the parts on hand so I can do the repair with minimal time spent apart on the bench.
I have a broken output shaft (chain too tight  ), so I picked up a complete gear set, a factory manual, and a nearly complete parts bike as a last resort, but I need to know what gaskets, etc. I will likely need to do this right.
Thanks in advance.

Depending on mileage, you probably would want to change the cam chain. Maybe the main bearing shells too. You will need a full rebuild gasket set. Vesrah is pretty good, I had very bad luck with Athena gaskets.
