do any companies manufacture new engine parts?650

Anyone know where I can buy new cam/lifter set, pistons,rings,gasket sets, ect...1978 650b

All those parts are newly available.

web cams of course do cams. ape does buckets but yours should be still good try wiseco for pistons ,gaskets you can get from z1 enterprises or any reputable local bike shop.

I would definitely replace the valve stem seals and valve and clutch springs.

yah,I know they are avalible ,but don't want to buy all the stuff to rebuild the engine and then say "oh crap I paid way too much". My local kaw dealer wants a fortune for everything(they suck)bought a petcock from em and it cost me $125.00,then I found out I should have paid half that. so I figured you guys wouldn't mind giving up a few of your secret discount suppliers.

The first place to start for aftermarket Kawasaki parts is Z1 Enterprises. Their prices are the lowest in the country for new parts.

good service too i just got an order from them with a whole bunch of goodies for 3 or 4 of my bikes good outfit to deal with.

+4 on the Z1Enterprises suggestion. They should be in your speed-dial right after your family. They stock tons of stuff that isn't listed when you look up your bike on their website. Generally the best price on whatever, same day shipping, very knowledgeable staff, what more could you want? I even had one of their customer service reps tell me where to get a part that they didn't stock on two different occations. Now that is customer service! I always call Z1E first.

+5 (??) on Z1E. I honestly can't find cheaper parts or tools anywhere. I still don't know how they make a profit. Jeff is even a member here and gives us updates on the industry from time to time. check there first. If you can't find something there then it's time to go to fleabay. Hastings makes piston rings for these motors but you have to find a dealer. It may be cheaper to just go to wiseco and find the set of pistons and rings.

THANKS ALOT!!!!! this is my 4th kz, I've had a 78 650,a 77 1000(miss it alot),a csr650 (junk) and now i bought another 650 off my brother who told me that he had rebuilt the whole thing (he lied) started by removing the head cause of a bad oil leak dripping on the header. the thing is all gunked up inside. around here (central ohio) we use to be able to find parts easily, but now I have to wait till the vintage motorcycle show at mid ohio race track (swap meet)but i want it fixed now.
