Interesting. I wonder what the point was? Perhaps just to make the collector an mid-pipe look larger than anybody else's? (aka pipe envy) :laugh:

thats odd. i was talking to a guy with 1 for a GS, and he said it would not fit his kz due to the dif angle of bend under the motor. it didnt have quite as sharp an angle at the 4 primaries , so it headed towards the ground more at that point?? i suppose, the must have some dif versions?

The spacing on the GS1000 is the same, it is NOT the same on the 16V 1100/1150. What however is different is the lean angle. The Kawasaki has cylinders that are more upright. This means when you put a GS1000 pipe on a Kawasaki, the collector will point toward the ground by some degrees. If you put a Kawasaki 1000 exhaust on a GS1000 the collector will point up into the frame. This will make mounting the tailpipe very difficult if not impossible.

Thats exactly what the guy was telling me about his.

Correct it wont go one my 16v 82 1100 but it bolts right up on a 78 GS1000 I have at the moment.A lttle high at the back whitch is fixed with a upwards hanger backet Id post a pic but my daughter has my camera right now
