I have a kerker megaphone exhaust with no baffle. I mainly want a baffle due to the noise. I am looking to maintain the free flow as much as possible, yet attenuate the dB level. Would a 2 inch baffle quiet the exhaust note down significantly, or would I need to go down to a 1.5" to quiet it down significantly.

As I understand it, the diameter of the baffle needs to match the ID of the pipe. At least thats how it's designed. You could always run baffles with no packing. Or the coil baffles for harley's would be quite free flowing, it's basically a tapered spring.

Going to the 2 inch competition baffle would be much quieter than open megaphone, but still flow nice and have a great sound! :)

I went with the 1.5 inch, quiet enough to keep the cops at bay, growly enough when the revs get up above 3k to sound nice!

I would rather wake up in the middle of nowhere than in any city on earth.

How does it run without a baffle? I've found a lack of throttle response and torque below 4000rpm when running an open megaphone
