It's an odd or maybe not question.. I know the 650 used these with a 13mm diameter shim. Are there larger models that used this as well? What I'm looking for are that style of bucket/follower with an OD of 33.5mm the 650's are 33mm. Yoshimura used this system for there GS1000S back in 1980. Yes that's my intended use as well. I used to road race one back then and restoring one now.. actually wish I had my first open production racer back it was a 72 H2 750 but that's another story! Appreciate any help that can be found. I worked on a lot of these models back then but this particular thing I can't remember.

I know you do Jay seeing if I can save some money... how much for the set?

Mark the GS1000 uses shim on top like the early Z-1 and KZ series. I wonder if any of the Honda or Yamaha bikes used this. I worked on Yamaha Suzuki and Kawasaki back then but only remember the KZ 650 and 750 using this style.....may just have to give Jay my hard earned money....

Tony

That 72 HR was a hand full fast but not a great handler(to say the least). I think they should have included Laundry soap or spare underwear with them....block long wheelies with ease...too much power with a very short wheelbase. Hey for it's time it was the fastest till the Z-1

Those GS1000's would absolutely rock with a bit of tweaking :) Post up some pics.

I know a guy who probably has a set of PM buckets if APE doesn't. If Jay's got them, grab them from him. If not, PM me and I'll put you in touch with the guy.

Don't forget pictures.. ;)
