Motorcycle accelerates then dies HELP was created by robert1083

Hi, I wanted to take my bike out for the first time this year. I drained the cards and added seafoam to the tank for the winter. I warmed the bike up, and upon acceleration, the bike keeps dying. I was told that the carbs had been cleaned out so I don't know what going on.

Would help some to know the model/type of carbs...

I would say make sure you let it idle good for a few mintes off choke, and just try to rev it.

When you added seafoam to the tank, did you run it for 5-10mins to get seafoam all thru carbs/engine?

Go slow and start smoothly... if the problem still persists, it could be some kind of carb related blockage.

Tried it with the gas cap open? you may have blockage of the gas tank's vent.
