I bought a new 2001 Venture in 2001 and didn't like the stock muffler lack of noise. I bought a couple of the 27" Emgo univeral slip ons. The only issue is to watch the ID size and make sure it fits your application. The mufflers quality was decent... the chrome stayed pretty decent and they sounded good... They were not too loud but you could definitely hear the V4 on the Venture. I bought the mufflers from JC Whitney and used their P clamps which made installation easy.
