Hello fellow riders.

I have notice a little oil drip on my 84 zn1100.
its seem to be coming from the Gear shifter.

How do i change that oil seal..can I pull it off and pop new one in.
or do i have to remove the entire casing.

Remove the engine sprocket cover to see what's leaking. I suspect what you're seeing may be chain lube. The clutch adjustment panel may have to opened to re-adjust the clutch cable after you have installed the sprocket cover.

On some Kawasaki's the foot peg assembly will have to be removed along with the starter motor cover.

I think if you had a leak, it would be noticed on the chain and directly below the engine as a spot or two.

The bike is a Shaft Drive, see picture attached of the
I see its leaking at the oil seal where the gear shifter is.

How do I replace the oil seal?

I "think" I may have replaced this seal on one of my bikes before. If I did, I did not have to open up the case, or anything major like that (I definitely would have remembered THAT ;)).

I think I was just able to pry it out with a hook pick, and pop the new one back in.

The seal should still be available. Are you in N. America? If so, call Z1 Enterprises, and if it is available, they can get it for you (even if you don't find it on their website).

I think the part number you need is 92049-004.
