I was wondering if any other exhausts could fit my 1980 kz750E 4 cylinder or be modified to fit. I really can't afford the new 4-1 exhaust systems out there and most used system or worst than the one I have on it now!

I was even thinking of making my own or at least the exhaust header. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Thank You
Ray

KZ650, KZ750, GPz750 and ZR7 (is that right? I always get that newer model's confused) will fit.
Just have to deal with the difference in the rear mount/s.

The 80-82 KZ750E exhaust would be the best match.
The exhaust system from a 750-Ltd-4 chain drive or 81-83 650-CSR might fit fine - you'd need the Ltd muffler brackets (your muffler stays should be okay). The mufflers are about 6" shorter. All of those bikes have the flanges welded to the header tips. The earlier KZ650s have the flared tips & the fitment probably won't be as good. You'd need those half-moon collars.

The 750E exhaust system will bolt-on to the KZ650-CSR, so it probably works the other way around... not sure, though. It should work, but you never know until you try.

I see used ones on ebay all the time, that's where I got mine.

Yeah I know but have you really looked at some of them? I don't have a problem buying a used exhaust but I don't feel comfortable with what I see offered. I really need one that's not as rusted/rotted as mine or I just put mine back on.

Some of these get up in price and once you add shipping we really get up there.

MAC new sets are the cheapest but the performance is on par with stock system.

I got a full set for a 750 twin for $60 delivered and it had minor rust. Still running it.
