oil cooler install was created by bluferno
My rebuild from top to bottom inside out on a 1980 KZ 750 H-1 LTD is almost done. I want to install an oil cooler but am not sure where the inlet and outlet oil lines should connect to the engine/crank.There are 2 bolts on the lower crank LT and RT sides laterally which seem to serve no purpose other than plugging oil passages. Can I remove these 2 plugs and connect my oil lines here then up to the cooler?
Thanx Bryan

NO, I believe that's a 4 cylinder motor. If so find a GPZ oil pan and cooler and run that setup. The other way to hook it up is with a special fitting to the rear of the oil pan that blocks the original oil flow so it goes through the cooler and then back in on the right side bolt.
