If correctly interpreting this site > www.cyclechaos.com/wiki/Kawasaki_KZ750L

KZ750ee-112948 engine number appears to be 1983 KZ750-L3 which model began with Engine No: KZJ50EE093001-

1984 KZ750-L4 model began with Engine No: KZ750EE128101

well from what i have managed to gather with out trying over the last year maybe i will throw this kz750 motor into this chassis and go road racing with it. if i can find a decent road course or may be look around and change directions again and build another hill climber who knows.

The KZ750 motors can be troublesome to puzzle out. This is because Kawasaki used the same motor series for many years and put them in different models...you may be able to discern which year the motor came from, but without specifics on appearance, sensor placement, etc. the motor could be from several different models. For example, in 1983, the KZJK0EEXXXXXX engine series was used in the KZ750H4, KZ750L3, and the ZX750A1. To be sure, there are difference between all those motors, but they were all drawn from the same series within the same year.
