I am restoring a 1979 KZ650. I am planing on painting the engine. Anybody have recomendations on a good durable engine paint that mathces the original engine paint? Thanks in advance.

the origonal wasnt painted silver, although several have powder coated them and they seem to look good, most tens to bead blast them and polish the alum

I use Sherwin-Williams "Polane-B" it is a urethane that has very good tolerance to heat, and is extremely durable.

74 Z1-A stock

Are you able to buy the shewrin williams in quarts, I have only been able to find it in gallons?

Polane only comes in gallons and five gallon buckets. It is an industrial paint and quarts or smaller are not available. If you email me i might be able to help you.
