1075 kit on the way! was created by fordtruck
I just received an email from Pit Stop Performance that my cylinder is finished being bored and hone and is shipping out today with my pistons!

My cylinder head is next in line to be ported, so it will be a couple more weeks before I get it back. That will give me plenty of time to get the pistons in and the cylinder back on. Can't wait to get it running.

Ford... What cams are going in your baby?

Keeping the old timing components or going all brand new?
BTW, the LISKA components... Nice..........;)

You already go through and replace all the lower end gaskets and seals?

I'm with the other... Where's our damn pictures... :P

Yeah, and what you're planning on running for carbs and cams, too (with costs). //Subscribed//

OMR, I've already put a new EK cam chain in. All timing components will be new, except for the two upper metal sprockets. They were the only cam chain components that were in good shape.

It's going to be stock cams for a while. I'm not running the normal MTC 10.5:1 pistons. I bought a set that Pit Stop sells that is made for stock or mild cams. The dome height is half that of the normal piston. In the future I may put in Web 118's.

As far as carbs, I'll be running VM28's that I bought off of Roy for a sweet price. Also going to use K&N air pods.

My estimate on total cost was around $1300. That was way low. I haven't added up everything, but I'm guessing closer to $2000. Those damn cam chain components are expensive!!!

In a previous thread I posted pics of the teardown. I'll take more when I start putting it back together.

Make sure you put an oil cooler on her as she will be running hotter than it is in Grenada. Another little trick that helps the airflow is if you clean up the castings on the head so the air can flow through to the inside unimpeded.. Every little bit helps. If you take a good look at the front of the head you will see the spots I am talking about. It's just a little but a little makes a difference.

Just had a cylinder head done by Pit-Stop. He seems to do nice work. The only downside is that he is in FLA. Shipping is a killer
