I'll but to the chase. I got it running but only on two cylinders. There are two ok the left side that are not combusting. I changed the plugs and the carbs but still same issue. Not sure what theme deal is. Plugs are wet and when I pull them I see spark. I recently changed the head. Any ideas?

Havent checked compression yet. I figured two pistons are running fine so why would the other two run bad? Not to mention on the same side

You have to treat each cylinder as a seperate engine.
It has its own carburetion unit, and its own exhaust.
...and yes, one cylinder can be completely %^&@#$ right beside a perfect cylinder, it happens more often than one might think.

Pull all the plugs, and have the throttle wide open when performing compression check.

You say you've changed carbs? Do you mean a completely new rack installed? or just cleaned up the old ones?

Make sure carb float levels are correct.

The carbs likely need at least a good bench sync to get running, then a vacuum sync once bike is good and warm.

Make sure to have idle turned up good.

If plugs are soaking wet, they need more air/less fuel per gulp!

Good luck.

Keep askin the questions! :)

If the non running cylinders are on one side and the plugs are WET than it sounds like a carburetor problem on those two cylinders. Especially if you have spark.

I had the same problem with my 95 KZ1000P. Turns out that when I have the carb on full choke, 1 and 2 don't fire. If I take the choke to half choke (or off choke), 1 and 2 start firing. I took the carbs back off, soaked 1 and 2 carbs overnight in carb cleaner, and replaced the enricher rubber plunger pieces on all the carbs.

I haven't put it all back together yet to see if that took care of the problem, but you most likely have a carb issue.

Good luck.
