Emission Junk
26 Mar 2006 17:57
What do I do with the Emissions Junk on my bike.? I want it off. There is a small hose running from the emissions case that splits into two other hoses that are plugged with screws and just laying on top of the engine. What do I do to get rid of the emissions case?

A number of folks sell "Block Off Plates" that will replace the air injection covers.

Just make sure that all the short pipes sticking out of the intake boots (between the carbs and the heads) are capped. Plug the hole in the top front your air box (ignore if you have pods and no airbox) and run a short piece of hose between the pipes at the from of the camshaft cover. You can safely remove the vacuum valve and its associated hoses from the bike.
