Exhaust collars (KZ 750) was created by Ituen
I was looking at the exhaust collars on my bike. Is there a better way to secure the header to the cylinder head? I was thinking about a flat flange on the head. Is there a exhaust gasket to trace and make a flange to bolt a custom header on?

Remove your exhaust system, and there should be a gasket between the end of the header and the engine's exhaust port.

Or order a new one(s) from www.z1enterprises.com

So, the exhaust header tips are flared?
You may need to get the half-moon exhaust collars from a 70s KZ650 & maybe an 80 model. Those bikes have the flared tips & the exhaust collars are longer/deeper.

Just in case... the stock exhaust pipes on your bike have a flange welded to them & the collars are shorter. The 81-83 650CSRs have the same collars as your bike.
