I'm not following you on the sizes. A BR8ES is a BR8ES. B=14mm thread, R=resistor type, 8=heat range, E=19mm(3/4") reach and S=2.5mm standard electrode. Are you perhaps talking about a gap spec?

That can't be a gap spec? That is too small for any application. Most plugs are gaped right around .75mm I run 1.5 mm gap .060".

There are 2 types of BR8ES plugs, but there's no difference in size or gaps. The difference is one flavor has a removable terminal cap and the other is not removable. See specs at:

I use Denso W22ES-U on my KZ650C1. Denso is the shortened name for Nippondenso; the name changed in 1996. Nippondenso supplied the original plugs in my '77 KZ650C1, but that was before they offered the "Hot U" plugs. They work great!

These "BERU" Silverstone "S7" plugs are my favorite. They and the PVL 3 Ohm coils are the only things that I would ever buy that is made in Germany. (Don't ask, just continued BAD experiences, and my Czech heritage.) Both of these items are available from NOLOGY here in the US. The plugs are considerably more expensive than all others but not the same Junk which is put out by BOSCH and also expensive.

I just noticed something on two of the pictures i posted. Take a look at the NGK plug that has been on the bike for 2 years and take a look at the Beru "German made plug that is fresh out of the box. The NGK plug is only tarnished while the $7 Beru plug is rusted right out of the box. It is not so easy to see but when the camera flash hit it it is visible quite plainly. This sort of cements my opinion of German products.

Interesting why a German manufacturer would market their product under the name Beru "Silverstone". Silverstone being the name of the F1 Grand Prix racetrack here in the UK.
Funny to hijack the name why couldn't they call it the Beru "Nurburgring" or the Beru "Schumacher"?

The reason for the "silver" is because that is the electrode. They are actually Ag electrodes. Don't ask me about the "Stone" part. :S
