750 4 Engine Rebuild Info? was created by TattooMark
Does anyone have any info on rebuilding a 750 4? Maybe places to get parts... where to find the best prices... maybe a walkthrough... anything will help. I have really low compression, somewhere around 80psi in one and four and 40psi in two and three so I figure I will just rebuild it and not have to worry about other stuff down the road... Thanks

Have you checked the valve lash? It's possible a simple shim adjustment will bring your compression back up.

When you did the compression test, did you have all plugs out and throttle wide open? Also, squirt a little oil in cylinder and repeat test. If it goes up it's your rings. If it stays the same it's in your valves (or valve adjustment as TerryK says) Let us know... ;)

Valves is the most likely culprit. Either clearance too tight or they need to be lapped and ground.
