Hello All... I have an 81 kz750 and i have low compression!! :( I am in the process of taking the motor out... anyone have any suggestions on what I need to look for first and if anyone else has had this problem? Thanks

re-do the compresion test.remember to hold the throttle wide open when doing the test.
do it once dry, and once with a bit of oil in the cyl. the oil will seal the rings. if the compresion comes up, its the rings. if it stays low, its still leaking by the valves. check the valve clearance.
a leak down test is also helpful, but if the rings leak bad , its hard to hear any leakage at the valves.

This is good advice. If you havn't already done the compression test this way, then repeat before you get that thing out.
