I find the Kerker style exhaust a little obnoxious. I am wondering if anybody has been able to preserve the 4 into 2 configuration but replace the mufflers with modern aftermarket cannisters to give the bike an updated look. Any suggestions????

Basinni. Spelling might be wrong.
I had to add a couple of inches to the center stand lever to retain it.
This is a four into two system
This is not my bike. roy

Most everything available in the U.S. is like the original design.Try searching on the U.K. sites, they have a bigger motorcycle market and more variety in makes and models along with more aftermarket suppiers.

Have you guys seen a Ducati GT1000 Sport Classic with Termignoni exhaust? I am thinking either along those lines or some carbon fiber cannisters to give it an updated look.

I'm putting some Ducati M900 canisters on my stock 4-2. A lot of grinding, some welding, and hopefully I'll have a nice slip on canister system. I'm also cutting about 8-9" off of the canisters.

When I was running my Kerker (stock now) I wanted the same as you. A friend gave me a Yoshi can with a compitition baffle. Being a mechanic, I also do all the exhaust work so I was able to bend, fabricate, and weld pipe to adapt it to my Kerker. I would swap it out now and then for a different look and sound. You could locate cannisters or mufflers of your choice but need to have or know of someone who has the skills to adapt them and do a nice job. Plus with the "chrome" system this leaves the thought of chroming the resulting configuration or painting them. So yes, it could be done with some work and money. It will be more difficult to do your two muffler system than my single but it can be done! Let us know...

This is exactly what I had in mind except do it 4 into 2. I like it!!!! How does the Yosh can sound in comparison to the Kerker? I am very excited about this!!!
