I do not beleive that I am capable of removing the engine and splitting the cases to install a one piece cam chain, in fear of broken bolts chipped/cracked cases etc.

Old Man Rock, would that method of swapping the cam chain without splitting the case also work on the 750-4's?

for the cam chain I could just rivet the chain back together instead of using a master link

if your worried about your skill level then don't attempt riviting the master it would be easier and you would have a much greater chance of success splitting the cases then putting that chain together use a one piece chain and sleep better at night do you have a manual. if you do they explain exactly how to split your cases. it is easy and really straight forward.

There is a lot of options thrown at you.

Just do what you think you are comfortable with.

I know a lot of riders here that use a link in thier timing chain. Roy
