exhaust

hi guys just wondering if late 70s 650 exhaust will fit and work on an L3 i have found an exhaust system minus one muffler oh its a 4-2 there should be a pic of it i hope lol

Us old farts are fond of saying: I would have taken better care of my body if I had known how much I would need it later. Same thing applies to the stock exhaust systems..... we sure couldn't hacksaw those suckers off fast enough to get the "performance" pipes on.:laugh:

The stock ones are huge, heavy, and sound like a sewing machine but actually ran better than the MACs I now run.

Pretty much any Kawasaki KZ750(4)/650 set will work... rephrased, the header pipes will readily match, but you may have to fabricate a hanger for the mufflers...and there may be issues with the centerstand and how it mates with the exhaust system.

You're probably going to need the half-moon exhaust collars from the 650. Your 83 750-Sports exhaust header pipes probably have the welded flanges on the ends that fit into the engine, while the 650's are flared. Your exhaust collars may be too short.
