My job requires that I read title opinions all day written by attorneys, I have not heard any one else use the word opining before.
I really have nothing useful to add.

patton is a lawyer also! B)

Checked guides and lapped them they supposedly bench shimed them but when I checked it looked to me that they just took the ones that were on the other head because they wernt right so I ordered some from Z1 and did them my self

sounds like about 1-2 hours worth of work, thats serious labor rates! :S im sorry, but in my personal experiance if youre gonna go to the trouble of pulling all the valves out it would be just as fast and be more beneficial to actually grind the valves and seats.the tiny bit of material removed in lapping the valves is canceled out the minute the motor warms up and things start to expand :(

The valve job could have been perfect, but when you placed the head on the engine, if the cams were out of time with the pistons, or if you turned the crankshaft or cams independently, then a valve could have been bent slightly. The timing can be perfect now, but what process was used to get everything into time?

If you know exactly how you did the re-assembly, and are sure that the pistons and valves were in proper positions before bolting on the head, then this can be eliminated. Just food for thought. Good luck.

I see what your saying, I did it by the book (service manual)
and took about 2 days on it just to be sure. Im hoping its just something on the seat but getting that off may require head removal.

Finnalily nice enough to pull the head today and #3 exhaust valve is bent. I must have screwed it up when assembling it. So I pulled 2 out of my old head and niether of those would seal either. Going to take it to the place that checked it for me and see if they can cut the seat to the straight valve.Heres a pic through the exhaust port of the bent one with spring and tension.
