My kz650 has the stock mufflers and pipes. They have some rust which I've been working on with steel wool and wd-40. Its shined up ok, but still has rust espeacially up near the motor. I dont mind the quiet exhaust. A new shiny one would look nice though. Do they make aftermarket exhaust's where you don't have to re-jet the carbs?

Go new, you won't regret it!

Rejetting is not always necessary with new pipes, sometimes a small adjustment is fine.

Rejetting is also not very difficult for pipes if necessary, just a little time consuming...

Good luck!

If you do decide to go new I'd be interested in your stock pipes assuming they don't have any rusted through spots...

MAC pipes jet same as stock, they also run about like stock.

BTW, a decent set of stock pipes (just a little rust and no holes) is worth about twice what a new aftermarket set is.

What generally (but not always) results in re-jetting issues is changing the air intake system...rephrased, going from a stock airbox to individual pods and coupling that change with 4into1 pipes.

Seriously? It doesnt have any holes, just light surface rust. Crazy someone would pay that.
