clutch handle not releasing was created by kz1100warrior
okay, i read most posts here regarding slipped clutches etc, my problem i hav is that my clutch handle will not release once i have put in gear.....could this be the spring by end of cable worn or would this be a push rod scenerio. Once i engage in a gear i have to push the clutch out it will not go back automatically....

First I'd remove the cable to make sure it's not gummed up. Then I'd look at the cable end cam. If those prove to be freely moving make sure your clutch rod is moving free. After that you go over to the clutch basket itself. I bet you find it before this. All pretty simple really. What model is it. Do you have a manual?

Assuming KZ1100 due to nick....
Start with adjustments... Here's the procedure for a KZ900, maybe similar to yours...
