I have just started the strip down of my kz650-C3 project bike and the engine is a bitsa!!
The engine and frame numbers match a C3 but the block is stamped with 0.733 litres which makes me think it has been swapped out with possibly a kz750 block. I also have no idea if the head, cams or rocker covers are original and the carbs are not from a kz650 either.
I am hoping that someone may be able to identify the components from the pictures below or at least point me in right direction in terms of techniques to identify the parts.

you lucky bugger. that is at least a gpz750 head off of a 83-85 bike. The combustion chambers are shaped differently than any other 650/750.
I would bet money those are at least 750 cylinders/pistons, but I would measure the bore to see if it has been done oversized.
