Bottom end is coming together~~ kZ1000 was created by gearhead119
A little update here... I about got the bottom end put back together... A couple more covers to polish. I checked the crank... everything was true... welded the crank pins and clutch basket rivits. I also removed the kickstarter. I machined the center crank main cap and made a 1/4" steel cap for it. modded the sprocket cover, modded a kz 750 breather cover(shorter). Cases were all sandblasted and got a coat of semigloss black enamel. The head is all together now... it took a bit to get all the valves ground to the correct stem height but once I figured out a plan of attack it went pretty quick. Waiting on my ring sets to show up so I can install the slugs and jug. got a few more parts that I need to make on the mill. a few billet peices for the cam chain rollers... anyway ... here are a few pics

Right now money is kinda tight so I am sticking with the stock pistons for now... I've been gathering other stuff for the chassis right now (what good is a big engine without a bike to put it in!)I figured I can build the bottom end up a little and upgrade the top end down the rode. I got the head ready for cams (springs, retainers, ported) but stayin with the stockers for now:( Got a Muzzy endcan and WeilyCo endcan.. havn't decided which to use yet... header will be one off.

I have about half the front end bought and am still shopping for the rest.(Anybody got a 07-08 front wheel?) 2007 gsxr 1000 forks, radial brakes, 310mm rotors, ZRX 1100 swingarm, wheel, brake, etc. Gonna start on the frame next... I'll get a few pics this week for you guys
