750 Twin Rubber Fin dampers: use 6 or 8? was created by bountyhunter
The 750 twins have the small round rubber vibration dampers in between the vertical fins on the head just above the spark plugs. I have one rubber left on each side, so I was going to order new set.

QUESTION: I see four gaps between the five fins, so why does the parts drawing only show three rubbers on each side?

Shouldn't there be one in each gap?

Another question: do they actually do anything you can feel?

I believe they reduce the amount of vibration in the handlebars from the harmonics of the engine. Maybe there is another purpose, but i wouldnt know..:)

I guess I should get some. Still can't figure out why they use three when there are four gaps between fins....?
