I have a 78 KZ400B bobber, Last time I rode the clutch seemed to be slipping every time I got on the throttle. As I was ridding I stopped at a intersection and down shifted and my Clutch handle went loose. There was no tension on my cable at all. I could put bike in 1st and I could see my chain jump like it always does when putting in gear, but it would not go forward. Trailered bike home and pulled clutch cable cover to hopfully find broken cable but found nothing. It looks like my clutch/cable tensioner is not moving my rod or it's jumping out of it grooves. I tried to manually push clutch rod in and it would not go! I noticed my clutch rod was leaking oil. I haven't had any problems before and the cable is not new. So I guess my question is do you guys have any sugestions and how hard is it to change rod seals? Thanks in advance for any help!

it could be the adjuster it self sometimes they will come apart and quit working i have had to replace a few myself over the years,as far as the seal goes it is usally done when the cases are split but you can remove and reinstall the new one if the caeses are still together if there is a lip on the outside of the seal sometimes it helps to peel it off and then put three bond 1104 or yamabond over the the out side edge to seal it then drive it in the same amout as the old one was.
