HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION

My bike doesn't go through that much oil, but I do about a quart every 400 miles. I am not smoking either. My bike leaks at the valve cover when you start it up, you can see it pumping out...also it leaks at the head gasket...I pulled the motor out last night and will fix these problems, maybe you could try this too...although WD40 smells good when I spray it on the engine to clean it after a long ride, I would rather not have to

i really appreciate all the help. but i know its not leaking [not a drop under it ever even when its running so occams razor the rings are bad and it needs a rebuild even though it runs strong and well.

i just put it on craigs list for $1200 along with my sons gs850 $600. if any one wants either of them give me a call at 847-401-4513 and we can make a deal.also if one of you guys want to fix it for a cheap price call me with a rough estimate of what it'd take to gput it right.

I'd buy cases of discount oil a WalMart and ride the hell out of it.
