ignition housing question

i stripped out one of the bolts holding points cover on and i m going to replace housing....question is do i have to drain oil or can i just keep bike on kickstand and oil will
stay far enough away?...it looks like seal is at crank centerline and i should be ok.....just wondering....thanks

you sould be able to work on the ignition housing and clutch as well if the bike is on the sidestand and not lose any oil especally if your side stand has a bit of the kawi droop i work on my clutch all the time at the track and i never lose any oil if it's on the side stand.

thanks guys....yeah tim, i put in new clutch and didnt loose crap on kickstand as far as oil....just double checking.......B)
