KZ 650 B2 with a K&N Filter and V&H MegaPhone 4 into 1 with baffel.

So I have completed a lot of work on my bike.
-coil power mod
-carbs synced
-new solenoid
-timing and points adjusted
-new air filter
-new spark plugs
-fresh oil filter
-fresh 10w40 Castrol GTX 4 cycle Oil

It now has a lot more power than it had when I started with it, but now when I am crusing along and I quickly open the throttle the clutch slips. The revs go up and the bike screams like a banshee, but the clutch slips.

What can I do to fix this? I am looking for 2 approches:
Simple fix and a propper fix.

Thanks for your input.

Simple and proper fix would likely consist of clutch push rod adjustment and clutch cable adjustment.

Good Luck! :)

what patton said. if that doesn't work for you then take out your clutch pack and check for glazed or burnt plates and then check those ones for warpage if they aren't warped and you have accessto a bead blaster then blast them and reuse them after a good clean up it gives it a new surface for the oil to adhere to. also if you don't have a beadblaster take a scotch brite pad to them to so the same thing. trust me it will work unless the are warped or measure out of spec you can reuse. all my bikes run used clutch packs

Wow thanks dudes for the reply. Anyone have a shot of the shop manual that shows how to adjust the push rod?

This may sound stupid, but when you open the throttle is your hand over the clutch lever? The reason I ask is that I used to find myself pulling on the clutch lever just a little bit when I would open the throttle hard, and my clutch would slip. I guess it had something to do with me wanting to hold on a little bit tighter, so I was pulling in the clutch without knowing it. I doubt this is your problem, but thought I would ask anyway!
