I used that same 12 row cooler on my 78 1000 ltd but trimmed the flanges and made some small brkts to mount it. I wanted to keep the stock oil light so I tapped the fitting ( oil sending unit? ) for 1/2" hose barb and then used an epoxy to block the inlet and outlet connection on the send. unit. I had to drill and tap a new hole in the unit but had to reduce to 3/8" fitting because of the wall thickness.

My bikes are both torn down getting painted for a rebuild but I used the 12 row cooler and 3/8" 304 stainless tubing. You can get it from Onlinemetals.com, 2 5' sections are about $35 total, 1/2" is to large to bend tight enough. Just follow the swagelok instructions, it's finger tight then mark it and spin 1.25 turns. We use them alot here at work for transfering solvents and pressure them up to 35 PsiG and have never had one blow off, rupture or leak and you can get them on the major online auction site for about $10 for a set.
A normal person could put there bike together in a few weeks, will take me 3 months so if you can wait that long I'll post up some pictures.
