my bike is punched to 1075cc,well i think thats what it is,he said it's 30 over? What spark plug should i run,someone told me to run a hotter plug,true or false?

Current bike..1977 kz1000 1075cc kit,dyna everything,lotsa chrome,kerker pipe.

False. Use the factory recomeded plug.

.030 over will probably not get you to 1075cc unless it began at about 1074. Unless it's 30 inches over................. :silly:

either b8es or a br8es, they both will work fine for a street motor.

There was b7es in it and thats what i bought,is that wrong? is that why it's a bitch to start?

b8es's are the right plug going one heat range hotter like you have won't hurt it if your just cruising but for extended high rpm use i'd go to a colder b8 or b9es plug. and no that wont be why your bike is hard to start.

Ok, so now i'll give the carbs a good cleaning and see what that does. this might sound dumb but i kinda like it when they dont run right......half the fun isd wrenching on em:P

Kawi factory specifies the B8ES for the fours and the B6ES for the twins. My twin will foul a plug if you go to the colder ones in city driving which (I assume) is why kawi specs the hotter ones for the twins. Some people say you can go one range colder for constant highway driving.
