Doh.... Busted fins come with the sale I hope. ;)

Pictures were ok until that last two...

Despite the motor being an early VIN, the total package would be worth the most (e.g. 'matching' frame VIN). As it is, it is just another Z1 motor, albeit worth a bit more than a 1975 Z1 motor. Find out what a late model Z1 motor sells for and tack on another 100 or so...this might approximate what it should sell for on eBay...unless, of course, a bunch of anorakian Z-heads gets wind of it and the price will increase...and those broken fins can be repaired :)

early z1 cases used to be worth lots of money in late 80s early 90s but things have come back to reality since then B)

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

It might be...if I had an early frame sitting at home and needed a motor within the correct VIN range... then yes, it might be worth it. If you are buying it to put in your 1976 KZ900, then you are wasting money... and as I mentioned in my other post, if you are a Z1 collector geek, then cost isn't an option as you are no longer rational

It won't surprise me this sells for around $1k...

Towards the end, these ppl will go into a frenzy just to win, no matter what the costs....:S

Hell as I just posted, $255 for a 30 year old oil cooler.... Turns, out the cooler itself is actually a JC Whitney 3rd party.... This all could be purchased for ~$150...

It's insane I tell you....

I've been through the oil cooler thing on ebay, paid way more than it is worth. It is real easy to get caught up in the action of bidding. I got so worked up I bought the next oil cooler I saw on ebay as well.  :woohoo:

The fittings for the oil coolers are whats rediculous then you throw the cooler in and it can get astronomical.
